Autumn Amble/Ramble in Tetbury – by Naomi Whitaker

The bustling market town of Tetbury was the setting for SBC’s autumn Amble/Ramble.

In gentle sunshine, nine of us met by the historic Market House, drawn together through shared life experience and looking forward to enjoying an afternoon ably arranged by Debs.

Whether you chose to ramble – and we took a loop away from the town through fields and scenic country paths – or to amble around the vibrant shops and cafés, a couple of hours unfolded happily. Catching up with familiar faces or making new connections, there was a real sense of community spirit, of being out and about in good company.

Amblers and Ramblers met at four for a cream tea to round off the afternoon. This was a real treat; we were all delighted with the venue (The Close Hotel) and chatted away in the sunshine with delicious scones and tea.

SBC is a relatively new venture with a very clear vision and this event provided so many positives for our well-being going forward. Thank you to our sponsors and especially to Debs for arranging this very successful afternoon. Events are open to all in the SBC Community; please be assured that a warm welcome awaits!
